WHAT A WEEKEND Reading Festival was.
It all began on Thursday night when I got the call ‘We’ve got TWO GUEST PASSES FOR READING FESTIVAL, WE’RE GOING TOMORROW’. You can imagine the excitement.
After the working day was done on Friday, we set off with our last minute essentials- tent, sleeping bags and loads of glitter and rocked up to the festival at 9pm on the dot, just as the box office was closing to exchange tickets for wristbands.
Set the tent up, change of clothes, unicorn bag on and straight in for a partay.
(First night in the Guest Bar)
Thousands of festival revellers wearing an array of outfits combining all the generations – 60’s kids all the way up to the noughties.
Including all of the Radio 1 tents, there were Carlsberg and Smirnoff tents providing only the best beverages and music. You could even go shopping in the many boutiques that had set up stalls at the event.

Some of my favourite shows of the weekend included 23 year old Sigrid, DJ Danny Howard, J Hus, Fall Out Boy & Kings of Leon (who actually brought a glistening tear to my eye).
(Meeting Tom Grennan at the Guest Bar after his performance)
Dua Lipa also smashed it, she looked absolutely MEGA in her checkered crop and 90’s style pants. Tom Grennan also rocked the festival headlining the Festival Republic Stage, later claiming that Reading 2018 had fulfilled his childhood dream of playing the festival.
